Welcome to the Research Symposium for Earth and Environmental Sciences!

Presented by the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department at the University of Kentucky

Research Symposium for Earth and Environmental Sciences (ReSEES)

The first EES Research Symposium (ReSEES) will be hosted by the Geoscience Graduate Group (G3). This student-run symposium will be held each fall and offers an exciting opportunity for enrolled graduate and undergraduate students to present their research to a larger audience including EES students, EES faculty, KGS staff, and alumni in a professional setting.

All students enrolled in EES and engaged in research under the direction of a faculty mentor are eligible and encouraged to register by submitting an abstract here.

2020 CyberSymposium

The Geoscience Graduate Group has worked to create an online version of ReSEES in order to protect the health of everyone involved during this unprecedented time. A display of online posters (PDFs) will be available on the morning of October 2 from 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM. During this time, presenting authors will be available via Zoom to give an overview of their work and answer any questions posed in the chat box.

Oral presentations will begin on Zoom on October 2 at 12:00 PM. Abstracts, posters, and PowerPoint presentations of undergraduate and graduate students will be available online via the ReSEES web-page. Sessions for oral and panel presentations of student’s research will occur via Zoom, with PowerPoints displayed using screen-share.
