I have active projects that are examining the evolution of lake and wetland ecosystems in the Quaternary at a number of sites, including the Brazilian Pantanal, the Amazon, the East African Rift, and the Mono Basin. The photo below (taken by Guleed Ali) is from our 2015 expedition to collect long sediment cores from Mono Lake. Graduate student Bailee Hodelka is working on these data for her MS thesis.
