Biography:

A native of Allentown PA, Josh Barna studied geology at Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. While there, he conducted Karst Hydrogeology and Carbonate Geochemistry research with Dr. Ellen Herman of the Bucknell Geology Department. His work focused primarily on identifying flow and recharge components of karst spring water using Mg/Ca and [CO2] storm hysteresis.

After graduation, Josh moved to Lexington to pursue a Master's Degree in geology at the University of Kentucky. During his time at UK, he is working as a Teaching Assistant and conducting research with Dr. Alan Fryar to understand karst system water flow within the Houzhaihe Catchment in Guizhou, China.
