Journal Page Charges & Submission Fees

Funds are available to support journal page charges and "submission fees" with the following stipulations. Funds for page charges are available to all regular faculty including lecturers, provided that the work was completed under grants or contracts that have expired OR the work was completed without extramural support. Faculty who have current extramural support are expected to charge these costs directly to the appropriate grants or contracts. Funds for submission fees are available only to non-tenured faculty. No funds will be provided for reprints, or for those publications that could be described as "for profit."  No funds will be provided for indexing or copy-editing of books or manuscripts.  Typically, no more than one award will be granted to a faculty member during an academic year.

Requests for such support (including the attached "Application Cover Sheet") should be sent to the Office of the Dean and should be accompanied by a letter of endorsement from the chair of the department.
